Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Adam and Musa debated with one another. Musa said to Adam, 'Adam, are you the one who caused your descendants to enter the Fire?'Adam replied, 'Musa, Allah chose you for His message and spoke to you directly, and He revealed the Torah to you. Did you find written there that I would descend to earth?'Musa said, 'Yes.'Adam said, 'Then so Adam prevailed over him in the argument.'"

عن أبي هريرة، قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ: احتج آدم وموسى، فقال موسى لآدم: يا آدم، أنت الذي أدخلت ذريتك النار؟ فقال آدم: يا موسي، اصطفاك الله برسالته، وبكلامه، وأنزل عليك التوراة، فهل وجدت أني أهبط؟ قال: نعم. قال: فحجه آدم.
