When people saw the first fruit of the season, they would bring it to the Prophet ﷺ. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it, he would say, "O Allah, bless our fruit for us, bless our city for us, bless our saa for us, and bless our mudd for us. O Allah, Ibrahim is Your servant, Your friend, and Your prophet, and I am Your servant and Your prophet. He prayed to You for Makkah, and I pray to You for Madinah with the like of what he prayed to You for Makkah, and the like of it along with it."Then he would call the youngest child present and give him that fruit.
كان الناس إذا رأوا أول الثمر جاؤا به إلى النبي ﷺ. فإذا أخذه رسول الله ﷺ قال: اللهم بارك لنا في ثمرنا، وبارك لنا في مدينتنا، وبارك لنا في صاعنا، وبارك لنا في مدنا، اللهم إن إبراهيم عبدك وخليلك ونبيك، وإني عبدك ونبيك، وإنه دعاك لمكة، وإني أدعوك للمدينة، بمثل ما دعاك لمكة ومثله معه قال: ثم يدعو أصغر وليد له فيعطيه ذلك الثمر.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hajj (1373-473) from Qutayba bin Saeed, from Malik bin Anas - as read to him - from Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.He also narrated it in the Book of Hajj (1373-474), but with this wording, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would be brought the first fruits and he would say, "O Allah, bless us in our city, and in our fruits, and in our mudd, and in our sa, blessing upon blessing," then he would give it to the youngest child present.
