I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Faith is Yemeni, extending all the way to Lakhm and Judham."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: الإيمان يمان هكذا إلى لخم وجذام.
Ahmad (13346) narrated it from Ali bin Ayyash (that is, Alhani), who said, Muhammad bin Muhajir narrated to us, from Urwa bin Ruwaym, who said, Anas bin Malik came to Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan while he was in Damascus. He said, So he went in to see him, and Muawiya said to him, "Tell me a hadith you heard from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, with no one between you and him." He said, Anas said, and then he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Urwa bin Ruwaym Lakhmi, for he is hasan al-hadith. His explicit statement of having heard it from Anas is found in Bukhari's Tarikh (5/87-88).Haythami said in Majma (10/55), "Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Urwa bin Ruwaym, and he is trustworthy."
