Abu Hurairah said, "People say that Abu Hurairah narrates too much. I once met a man and asked him, 'What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite last night in the night prayer?'He replied, 'I do not know.'I said, 'Were you not present?'He answered, 'Yes, I was.'I said, 'But I know. He recited such and such surah.'"
قال أبو هريرة: يقول الناس: أكثر أبو هريرة، فلقيت رجلا، فقلت بم قرأ رسول الله ﷺ البارحة في العتمة؟ فقال: لا أدري، فقلت: لم تشهدها؟ قال: بلى، قلت: لكن أنا أدري، قرأ سورة كذا وكذا.
