Abu Yaala narrated it (1670) from Abdul-Rahman bin Salih, who said, Abdul-Rahim bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Qinan bin Abdullah Nahmi, from Abdul-Rahman bin Awsaja, from Bara, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abu Yaala's teacher Abdul-Rahman bin Salih, and Qinan bin Abdullah Nahmi, for both of them make the hadith hasan. As for Hafiz's statement about Qinan bin Abdullah that he is "acceptable," the correct view is that he is truthful, and both Ibn Main and Ibn Hibban deemed him trustworthy.Similar in meaning is what was narrated from Salama bin Qays, that the Prophet ﷺ passed by Abu Musa while he was reciting, and he said, "This one has been given some of the flutes of the family of Dawud."Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (7/44) from Ali bin Abdul-Aziz (that is, Baghawi), who said, Ibn Asbahani (that is, Muhammad bin Saeed bin Sulayman) narrated to us, who said, Sharik narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, who traced it up to Salama bin Qays, and he related it.Sharik is weak in memory.
