Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Nothing infects anything, nothing infects anything," repeating it three times. An Arabi stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, a sore appears on the lip of a camel, or on its tail, and the whole herd becomes infected with mange."He remained silent for a while, then said, "What infected the first one? There is no contagion, no ill omen in Safar, and no spirit of the dead returning. Allah created every soul and wrote down its life, its death, its afflictions, and its provision."
