There was a man from the desert people named Zahir who used to bring gifts to the Prophet ﷺ from the countryside, and the Prophet ﷺ would supply him with provisions whenever he wished to leave. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Zahir is our man of the desert, and we are his townsmen."The Prophet ﷺ loved him, though he was a man of unattractive appearance. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon him one day while he was selling his wares and embraced him from behind, so the man could not see him.The man said, "Let me go! Who is this?"He turned around and recognized the Prophet ﷺ, and once he knew who it was, he kept pressing his back firmly against the chest of the Prophet ﷺ.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then began saying, "Who will buy this slave?"Zahir said, "Messenger of Allah, by Allah, you will find me unsellable."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "But with Allah you are not unsellable," or he said, "But with Allah you are precious."
