The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never kept me away from him since I embraced Islam, and he never saw me without smiling.
ما حجبني رسول الله ﷺ منذ أسلمت، ولا رآني إلا ضحك.
Bukhari narrated it in the Virtues of the Ansar (3822), and Muslim in the Virtues of the Companions (2475-134), both through the route of Khalid bin Abdullah, from Bayan, from Qays who said, Jareer bin Abdullah said, and he mentioned it.In another wording, "He never saw me except that he smiled in my face, and I complained to him that I could not stay firmly seated on horses, so he struck my chest with his hand and said, 'O Allah, make him firm, and make him a guide who is rightly guided.'" Sahih, narrated by Bukhari in jihad (3035, 3036), and Muslim in the Virtues of the Companions (2475-135), both through various routes, from Ismail bin Abu Khalid, from Qays, from Jareer, and he mentioned it.
