I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when Abu Bakr came and asked permission to enter. He said, "Let him in, and give him glad tidings of Paradise."Then Umar came and asked permission to enter. He said, "Let him in, and give him glad tidings of Paradise."Then Uthman came and asked permission to enter. He said, "Let him in, and give him glad tidings of Paradise."I asked, "And where will I be?"He replied, "You will be with your father."
Ahmad (6548) and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (13/615-616) both narrated it through Hammam, from Qatada, from Ibn Sirin and Muhammad bin Ubayd, from Abdullah bin Amr, who said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Hammam is Ibn Yahya Awdhi, and Muhammad bin Ubayd is Ibn Qudama Hanafi. Tabarani also narrated it through another route from Muhammad bin Sirin, with the same wording.
