Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out on one of his military expeditions. During it, the Muslims ran low on provisions and were in dire need of food, so they asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for permission to slaughter their camels. He granted them permission. When news of this reached Umar bin Khattab, he came and said, "Messenger of Allah, their camels carry them and bring them to their enemy. Will they slaughter them? Rather, Messenger of Allah, call for the remnants of their provisions and ask Allah عز وجل to bless them."He replied, "Yes."So he called for the remnants of their provisions, and the people brought what they had left. He gathered it together, then called upon Allah عز وجل to bless it. He then called for their containers and filled them, with a great deal left over.At that point the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger. Whoever meets Allah عز وجل with these two testimonies, free of doubt, will enter Paradise."
