The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People will keep on asking until one of them says, 'This is Allah, who created us, so who created Allah '"Abu Hurairah said, "By Allah, I was sitting one day when a man from Iraq said to me, 'This is Allah, who created us, so who created Allah
'"Abu Hurairah continued, "So I put my finger in my ear and cried out, 'Allah has spoken the truth, and so has His Messenger. Allah is the One, the Eternal Refuge, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable to Him'" [Ikhlas 112:3–4].
وبهذا الإسناد قال قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يزالون يسألون حتى يقال هذا الله خلقنا فمن خلق الله عز وجل قال فقال أبو هريرة فوالله إني لجالس يوما إذ قال لي رجل من أهل العراق هذا الله خلقنا فمن خلق الله عز وجل قال أبو هريرة فجعلت أصبعي في أذني ثم صحت فقلت صدق الله ورسوله الله الواحد الصمد لم يلد ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفوا أحد

Bukhari related it, 13/265, no. 7296, Fath al-Bari, from Anas, and Muslim, 1/119, no. 212, in the Book of Faith, chapter on the exposition of doubtful whispers concerning faith, and Abu Dawud, 4/231, no. 4721, in the Book of Sunnah, chapter on the Jahmiyyah, both of them from Abu Hurairah.
