Its chain of transmission is sahih. It was mentioned previously at 7132, and Muslim narrated something similar in 1/222 no. 260 in the chapter on Tuhur, the traits of fitrah, as did Tabarani in Al-Kabir 12/400 no. 13476 from Ibn Umar, and Tahawi in Maani al-Athar 4/230.
