Abdullah bin Umar reported, "Zubayr, Miqdad bin Aswad, and I went out to our properties in Khaybar to look after them. When we arrived, we separated to attend to our individual holdings. During the night, while I was asleep on my bed, I was attacked, and my hands were dislocated at the elbows. When morning came, I called out to my two companions for help, and they came to me and asked who had done this to me. I told them I did not know."He continued, "They set my hands right, then took me to Umar. Umar said, 'This is the work of the Jews.'"Then Umar stood up to address the people and said, "People, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had made an agreement with the Jews of Khaybar allowing us to expel them whenever we wished. They have now attacked Abdullah bin Umar and dislocated his hands as you have heard, in addition to their earlier attack on the Ansari before him. We have no doubt that they were the perpetrators, for we have no other enemy there. Whoever has property in Khaybar should go and tend to it, for I am expelling the Jews."So he expelled them.
