Abu Hurairah was at Marwan's door, so Marwan said, "Let him in."Then he said, "Abu Hurairah, narrate to us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Abu Hurairah said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Soon a man will wish he had fallen from the Pleiades rather than have taken charge of any of the people's affairs.'" Abu Bakr was uncertain whether the wording was "taken charge" or "been entrusted with."He continued, "And I heard him say, 'The destruction of the Arabs will come at the hands of young men from Quraysh.'"Marwan said, "By Allah, what wretched young men these are."
حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا أبو بكر عن عاصم
لمروان هذا أبو هريرة على الباب قال ائذنوا له قال يا أبا هريرة حدثنا حديثا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول أوشك الرجل أن يتمنى أنه خر من الثريا وأنه لم يتول أو يل شك أبو بكر من أمر الناس شيئا قال وسمعته يقول إن هلاك العرب بيدي فتية من قريش قال قال مروان بئس والله الفتية هؤلاء
