Abu Hurairah said to me, "Yamami, never say to a man, 'By Allah, Allah will not forgive you,' or, 'Allah will never admit you to Paradise.'"I said, "Abu Hurairah, this is a word one of us might say to his brother or companion when angry."He replied, "Do not say it, for I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'There were two men among the Children of Israil. One of them strove hard in worship, while the other was excessive against himself in sin. The two were like brothers. The devout one would constantly see the other committing a sin and would say, "Hold back!" The other would reply, "Leave me with my Lord. Have you been sent as a watcher over me?"'Until one day he saw him committing a sin he considered enormous, so he said to him, "Woe to you, hold back!"'The man replied, "Leave me with my Lord. Have you been sent as a watcher over me?"'The devout one said, "By Allah, Allah will not forgive you," or, "Allah will never admit you to Paradise."'So Allah sent an angel to them who took their souls, and they were gathered together. Allah said to the sinner, "Go and enter Paradise by My mercy." And He said to the other, "Did you have knowledge of Me? Were you in control of what is in My hand? Take him to the Fire."'By the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Qasim, he uttered a word that destroyed his world and his Hereafter.
حدثنا أبو عامر حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار
قال لي أبو هريرة يا يمامي لا تقولن لرجل والله لا يغفر الله لك أو لا يدخلك الله الجنة أبدا قلت يا أبا هريرة إن هذه لكلمة يقولها أحدنا لأخيه وصاحبه إذا غضب قال فلا تقلها فإني سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول كان في بني إسرائيل رجلان كان أحدهما مجتهدا في العبادة وكان الآخر مسرفا على نفسه فكانا متآخيين فكان المجتهد لا يزال يرى الآخر على ذنب فيقول يا هذا أقصر فيقول خلني وربي أبعثت علي رقيبا قال إلى أن رآه يوما على ذنب استعظمه فقال له ويحك أقصر قال خلني وربي أبعثت علي رقيبا قال فقال والله لا يغفر الله لك أو لا يدخلك الله الجنة أبدا قال أحدهما قال فبعث الله إليهما ملكا فقبض أرواحهما واجتمعا فقال للمذنب اذهب فادخل الجنة برحمتي وقال للآخر أكنت بي عالما أكنت على ما في يدي خازنا اذهبوا به إلى النار قال فوالذي نفس أبي القاسم بيده لتكلم بالكلمة أوبقت دنياه وآخرته
