Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Once there were two women, each with her son, when a wolf came and snatched away one of the boys. The two women took their dispute to Dawud, and he ruled that the surviving child belonged to the elder woman. They left and went to Sulayman, who said, 'Bring me a knife so I may cut the child in half between them.'The younger woman cried out, 'May Allah have mercy on you! He is her son, do not cut him!'So Sulayman ruled that the child belonged to the younger woman."Abu Hurairah said, "By Allah, we never knew the word sikkin for knife until that day. We only ever called it mudyah."
