The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, I was on the verge of ordering my young men to gather bundles of firewood for me, then ordering a man to lead the people in prayer, and then burning down the houses over those inside them."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ إذا نظر أحدكم إلى من فضل عليه في المال والخلق فلينظر إلى من هو أسفل منه فيمن فضل عليه
This is also sahih. It appears in Sahifah Mufradah under number 34. The two sheikhs did not narrate it through the route of the Sahifah. Bukhari narrated it in 11:276 of Fath, from the copy of Araj. Muslim likewise narrated it in 2:384-385, through his route, and its meaning has already passed with a different wording at 7317, from the narration of Araj, and 7442, from the narration of Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah.As for his statement "concerning those over whom he was favored," this is what is established in the printed edition, the two manuscripts, the Sahifah Mufradah, and Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan 7:393, as "of those over whom he was favored," which agrees with the narration of Bukhari and Muslim from the copy of Araj.
