The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is an angel at one of the gates of heaven who calls out, 'Whoever lends today will be repaid tomorrow,' and another angel at a different gate who calls out, 'O Allah, grant the one who spends a replacement, and hasten ruin upon the one who withholds.'"

Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Jami al-Masanid 7:220, taken from this very place. Ibn Hibban narrated it in his Sahih 5:247 [the photographed manuscript of Al-Ihsan] through the route of Abdul-Samad, from Hammad, who is Ibn Salama, with the same wording.Munziri mentioned it in Targhib wal-Tarhib 2:38 from the narration of Ibn Hibban, and noted that Tabarani had also narrated it. Haythami mentioned it in Majma al-Zawaid 10:238 and said, "Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat with two chains of transmission, in one of which is Miqdam bin Dawud, who is daif, though Ibn Daqiq Eid said that he is trustworthy."This is a serious shortcoming on the part of Haythami, since he did not clarify the state of the second chain. Even worse than this is that he neglected to attribute it to the Musnad, where it appears with this sahih isnad, and instead confined himself to a chain containing a daif narrator, which gives the false impression that the hadith itself is daif.See 8553.
