Abu Hurairah reported,

We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque. When he stood up, we stood up with him. An Arabi came to him and said, "Give me something, Muhammad."He replied, "No, and I seek Allah's forgiveness."The man yanked at him and scratched him. The people moved to seize him, but he said, "Leave him alone."Then he gave him something. His usual oath was to say, "No, and I seek Allah's forgiveness."

حدثنا زيد بن الحباب أخبرني محمد بن هلال القرشي عن أبيه أنه

سمع أبا هريرة يقول

كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في المسجد فلما قام قمنا معه فجاءه أعرابي فقال أعطني يا محمد قال فقال لا وأستغفر الله فجذبه فخدشه قال فهموا به قال دعوه قال ثم أعطاه قال وكانت يمينه أن يقول لا وأستغفر الله
