Its isnad is daif, due to the anonymity of Abu Ishaq as well, and due to the added anonymity from the unnamed man of Banu Layth, who narrates from Abu Ishaq.Yunus is Ibn Muhammad the tutor, the hafiz, the teacher of Ahmad. Aban is Ibn Yazid the perfumer.Bukhari, in al-Kabir 1/1/396-397, referred to this narration and the one before it, within the biography of Ishaq the freed slave of Zaidah, saying, Maamar said, from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ. This is a reference to the previous narration, 7757. Then he said, Musa bin Ismail told us, from Aban, from Yahya, from a man of Banu Layth, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, similarly. This is a reference to this narration, 7758.As for the narration to which Ibn Kathir referred, the narration of Suhayl, from his father, from Ishaq the freed slave of Zaidah, it is not found in the Musnad after extensive search and investigation. What is found in it is rather the narration of Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, directly, without the intermediary of Ishaq the freed slave of Zaidah, and it has already passed at 7675. We mentioned there the reference to the narration that Ibn Kathir pointed to, and that it is found in Sunan Abu Dawud 3162 and in Bukhari's al-Kabir 1/1/396-397. We add here that Bayhaqi narrated it at 1:301 by way of Abu Dawud.As for the text of the hadith, it is sahih in itself, since it has been transmitted through other sahih chains, as we have shown before.
