The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The angels do not accompany a group that has a dog or a bell with them."
حدثنا أبو كامل حدثنا زهير حدثنا سهيل عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تصحب الملائكة رفقة فيها كلب أو جرس
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud (2555) [2:330, Awn al-Mabud] narrated it through Zuhayr, from Suhayl, with this isnad. Muslim (2:164) narrated it through Bishr bin Mufaddal, and also through Darawardi, both of them from Suhayl. Tirmidhi (32) likewise narrated it through Darawardi.
