Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari narrated it with similar wording, 11:194, from the route of Sufyan from Abu Zinad. Here Hafiz explained it with a thorough commentary, and pointed out the differences in its wordings, and the narrations that contain the listing of the beautiful names, the most sound of which by route is the narration of Hakim in Mustadrak, with two isnads, 1:16-17, then the narration of Tirmidhi, 4:260-261, then the narration of Ibn Majah, 3861. Bukhari also narrated it in abridged form, without his saying, "He is odd..." 5:262, and 13:320, from the route of Shuayb from Abu Zinad. Muslim likewise narrated it, 2:307, and Tirmidhi, 4:263, in abridged form, from the route of Sufyan from Abu Zinad. It was also narrated in abridged form by Ibn Majah, 3860, from the hadith of Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah. It was likewise narrated in abridged form by Tirmidhi, 4:260, from the narration of Abu Rafi, and from the narration of Ibn Sirin, both of them from Abu Hurairah.Muslim narrated it in full, including his saying, "He is odd...", from the narration of Hammam bin Munabbih, from Abu Hurairah.
