The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you finishes the final tashahhud, let him seek refuge from four things, from the punishment of Hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the false messiah, the Dajjal."

قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا فرغ أحدكم من التشهد الآخر فليتعوذ من أربع من عذاب جهنم ومن عذاب القبر ومن فتنة المحيا والممات ومن شر المسيح الدجال
Its isnad is sahih. Hassan bin Atiya Dimashqi, his reliability has already been established at 5114, and we add here that Ibn Abu Hatim included his biography at 236/2/1. Muhammad bin Abu Ayesha Madani, the freed slave of Banu Umaya, is a trustworthy tabii, Ibn Main and others deemed him reliable, and Bukhari included his biography in al-Kabir at 207/1/1.This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud at 1983 (373 Awn al-Mabud), from Ahmad bin Hanbal, with this same isnad. It was also narrated by Muslim at 1:164 and Ibn Majah at 1:152, both through the route of Walid bin Muslim, with this same isnad. Muslim narrated it again, as did Nasai at 1:193, both through the route of Uzai, with the same wording.This has already appeared at 2342, within the Musnad of Ibn Abbas, through the narration of Malik, from Abu Zinad, from Aaraj, from Abu Hurairah, with similar wording. Something similar in meaning has also appeared from the hadith of Ibn Abbas on several occasions, including at 2168, 2343, and 2839.
