حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن مالك عن داود بن الحصين عن أبي سفيان
أن النبي ﷺ رخص في العرايا أن تباع بخرصها في خمسة أوسق أو ما في دون خمسة
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Dawud bin Husayn Madani, the freedman of Amr bin Uthman, his reliability has already been established at 614, and we add here that Bukhari included his biography in Tarikh al-Kabir 1/2/211, and Ibn Abu Hatim in Jarh wa Tadil 1/2/408–409.Abu Sufyan is the freedman of Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Jahsh, and he is a reliable tabii. Ibn Saad, Daraqutni, and others confirmed his reliability, and Bukhari included his biography in Kuna number 323, and Ibn Saad in Tabaqat 5:226.He transmitted, through his chain, from Dawud bin Husayn, that Abu Sufyan used to lead Banu Abdul-Ashhal in prayer in their mosque, while he was a mukatab (a slave under a contract of manumission), during Ramadan, and among them were people who had witnessed Badr and Aqabah. This hadith is in Muwatta p. 620. Bukhari related it at 4:323, and Muslim at 1:450, both through the route of Malik. See also what has passed in Musnad of Abdullah bin Umar at 4490, 4528, 4541, 4590. See also Risalah of Shafii with our commentary, numbers 908, 909. The tafsir has already passed at 4490. And the tafsir of "wasq" has already passed at 4732.
