Naeem bin Dajaja reported,

Abu Masud came to Ali and said, "Are you the one who claims that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A hundred years will not pass over people while there remains a single soul alive on earth'? Rather, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A hundred years will not pass over people while there remains alive on earth a single soul of those living today.' Indeed, the hope of this nation lies beyond the hundred years."

عن نعيم بن دجاجة قال

دخل أبو مسعود على علي رضي الله عنه فقال أنت القائل قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يأتي على الناس مائة عام وعلى الأرض نفس منفوسة إنما قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يأتي على الناس مائة عام وعلى الأرض نفس منفوسة ممن هو حي اليوم وإن رجاء هذه الأمة بعد المائة
