When Friday comes, the devils go out carrying their banners and hold people back, distracting them toward their marketplaces. The angels sit at the doors of the mosques and record the people according to their ranks, the first to arrive, then the next, and the next, until the imam comes out.Whoever sits close to the imam, listens attentively, remains silent, and does not engage in idle talk receives a double share of reward. Whoever sits farther away but still listens, remains silent, and does not engage in idle talk receives a single share of reward. Whoever sits close to the imam but engages in idle talk and neither listens nor pays attention bears a double share of sin. Whoever sits farther away and engages in idle talk, neither listening nor paying attention, bears a single share of sin.Whoever says "Hush" has himself spoken, and whoever speaks has no Friday prayer. Then he said, "This is how I heard your Prophet ﷺ say it."

Its chain of transmission is daif due to the anonymity of the freedman of the wife of Ata Khurasani. Abdullah is Ibn Mubarak. In [manuscript] H, it reads, "Abdullah bin Hajjaj bin Artah informed us," and in [manuscript] H it reads, "Ubaydullah narrated to us, Hajjaj bin Artah narrated to us," and both are errors. The correction is from [manuscript] K. Ali bin Ishaq is Sulami Marwazi Darakani, and he is thiqah and truthful, known for his companionship with Abdullah bin Mubarak. The hadith is found in Majma al-Zawaid 17702, where it states, "Abu Dawud narrated part of it." Yarbaūn al-nas means they detain and hold people back, as it is said, "rabaahu an al-amr" in the intensive form, meaning he detained him and held him back. Al-kifl, with a kasrah on the kaf and sukun on the fa, means share and portion.
