The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one should prevent his neighbor from fixing his wooden beam," or he said, "a wooden beam in his wall."
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا أيوب عن عكرمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يمنعن رجل جاره أن يجعل خشبته أو قال خشبة في جداره
Its isnad is sahih. Malik related it in Muwatta, p. 745, from Ibn Shihab, from Aaraj, from Abu Hurairah, in similar wording at greater length. Bukhari related it, 5:79, by way of Malik. Bukhari also related it with the same meaning, 10:78, by way of Sufyan, from Ayub, from Ikrima. All the rest of the group related it except Nasai, as in Muntaqa, 3015.
