I set out with my father toward the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When I caught sight of him, my father asked me, "Do you know who this is?"I replied, "No."He said, "This is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."A shiver ran through me when he said that, for I had imagined the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to be something unlike ordinary people. Yet there he was, a human being with thick hair upon which were traces of henna, wearing two green garments. My father greeted him, and we sat down and conversed with him for a while. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to my father, "Is this your son?"My father said, "Yes, by the Lord of the Kaabah."He asked, "Truly?"My father said, "I bear witness to it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled, then laughed at how strikingly I resembled my father and at my father's swearing an oath about me. Then he said, "He shall not bring crime upon you, nor shall you bring crime upon him." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, "And no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another" [Anam 6:164].Then I noticed something like a lump between his shoulders, so I said, "Messenger of Allah, I am among the most skilled of men in medicine. Shall I not treat it for you?"He replied, "No. Its physician is the One who created it."
Its isnad is sahih. Jafar bin Humayd Qurashi Kufi, his reliability was already established at 5695, and we add here that Ibn Abu Hatim included his biography in al-Jarh wal-Tadil 1/1/477. This hadith carries the same meaning as the one before it.Regarding his saying "that the Messenger of Allah something", the word "shayan" (something) is written this way in M and H, in the accusative case, and this can be explained according to the dialect of those who put both objects governed by "anna" in the accusative. In K it is written "shayun", in the nominative case, following the standard usage. This hadith is among the additions of Abdullah bin Ahmad.
