A man from among the Muslims asked the Prophet of Allah ﷺ for permission concerning a woman called Umm Mahzul, who used to commit fornication and who made it a condition that she would provide for him. He asked the Prophet ﷺ about her, or mentioned her situation to him, and the Prophet ﷺ recited "And the fornicatress, none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist" [Nur 24:3].He said that "And the fornicatress, none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist" [Nur 24:3] was revealed about this.Abu Abdul-Rahman, who is Abdullah bin Ahmad, said that his father said that Arim said, "I asked Mutamir about Hadrami, and he replied, 'He was a storyteller, and I have seen him.'"

Its isnad is daif, since it is a repetition of what came before it. This isnad is among the additions of Abdullah bin Ahmad, who related it from Yahya bin Main, as is confirmed in the two manuscripts L and M. But in the printed edition H it was made to be a narration of Imam Ahmad himself from Yahya bin Main, and this is an error. We had already pointed this out at 6480, where we mentioned that it was a narration of Ahmad from Ibn Main. What led us into that error was what is found in the printed edition H, so that should be corrected there.
