Shuba was uncertain about the wording. A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seeking permission to go out for jihad. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you have parents?"He replied, "Yes, my mother."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go back and treat her well."So the man went off, making his way through the riding mounts.
Its chain of transmission is daif, because of Shubah's uncertainty about whether it was connected or mursal. But its meaning is sahih from other angles, which we will point out, Allah willing.Yaala bin Ata Taifi, his reliability was already established at 4453.His father, Ata Amiri Laythi Taifi, is a tabi'i of unknown status, not mentioned with any criticism, so he is presumed acceptable until his condition becomes clear. Ibn Abu Hatim gave his biography in al-Jarh wal-Tadil, 3/1/339.I could not find this hadith from this route anywhere except in this place. But its meaning is sahih, supported by the sahih hadiths that have already passed, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Amr, concerning the command to seek the permission of one's parents before engaging in jihad, among them the previous hadith 6858, and hadiths 6811, 6812, and 6833.
