The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever claims descent from someone other than his true father will never smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance can be perceived from a distance of seventy years' travel."
Its chain of transmission is sahih, and it is an abridgment of 6592. His saying, "falan yurih" (so he will not smell), is written this way in the three original manuscripts here, and likewise in Tayalisi's narration of it from Shubah, 2274. The dropping of the alif in "yurah" without a conditioning particle is something we can hardly find a justification for in Arabic. In a copy in the margin of M, it reads "yurah" following the standard usage.
