A man came to Abdullah bin Umar and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the emigrant is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden.'"

جاء رجل إلى عبد الله بن عمرو فقال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده والمهاجر من هجر ما نهى الله عنه
Its isnad is sahih. Yahya is Qattan. Ismail is Ibn Abu Khalid. Amir is Shaybi. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 2481 (2:312 of Awn al-Mabud), and Nasai, 2:267, both through Yahya Qattan, with this isnad. Bukhari narrated it, 1:50-51, through Abdullah bin Abu Safar and Ismail bin Abu Khalid, from Shaybi, and through Dawud bin Abu Hind, from Shaybi. He also narrated it, 11:273, through Zakariya bin Abu Zaida, from Shaybi.As for what is said here, "A man came to Abdullah bin Amr and said," and so on, this is an abbreviated account. The fuller version appears in the narration of Abu Dawud, "A man came to Abdullah bin Amr while the people were with him, and he sat beside him, and said, 'Tell me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'" and so on.
