The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man from the Ansar who was admonishing his brother about being too modest. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Leave him alone, for modesty is part of faith."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن سالم
أن رسول الله ﷺ مر برجل من الأنصار وهو يعظ أخاه من الحياء فقال له رسول الله ﷺ دعه فإن الحياء من الإيمان
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of 5183. His saying, "from shyness," this is what is established in H, and in a copy in the margin of M "in" is used instead of "from." The original in K has "in life," with the word "from" written above "in," marked with a variant reading sign.
