I used to sell camels at al-Baqi, taking silver coins in place of gold and gold coins in place of silver. So I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was at the house of Hafsah and said, "Messenger of Allah, wait a moment, I have a question for you. I sell camels at al-Baqi, and I take these in place of those and those in place of these."He replied, "There is no harm in taking them at the day's exchange rate, so long as you do not part while anything remains outstanding between you."

كنت أبيع الإبل بالبقيع فأقبض الورق من الدنانير والدنانير من الورق فأتيت النبي ﷺ وهو في بيت حفصة فقلت يا رسول الله رويدك أسألك إني كنت أبيع الإبل بالبقيع فأقبض هذه من هذه وهذه من هذه فقال لا بأس أن تأخذها بسعر يومها ما لم تفترقا وبينكما شيء
