Abdullah bin Umar used to perform his night prayer while traveling, and would pray witr while riding on his camel, paying no attention to the direction his camel was facing. He would relate this practice from the Prophet ﷺ.Musa said, "I saw Salim doing the same."

أن عبد الله بن عمر كان يصلي في السفر صلاته بالليل ويوتر راكبا على بعيره لا يبالي حيث وجه بعيره ويذكر ذلك عن النبي ﷺ قال موسى ورأيت سالما يفعل ذلك
