Whatever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning the lower garment also applies to the shirt.

Its chain of transmission is sahih. Itaab is Ibn Ziyad, the Khurasani, a teacher of Ahmad. This hadith is narrated by Ahmad from his two teachers, Ali bin Ishaq and Itaab bin Ziyad, both of them from Abdullah bin Mubarak. The hadith is a repetition of 5891.
