A freedwoman of Ibn Umar came to him and said, "Peace be upon you, Abu Abdul-Rahman."He asked, "What is your situation?"She replied, "I want to leave for the countryside."He said to her, "Stay where you are, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No one endures its hardship and severity without my being a witness or an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
حدثنا إسماعيل بن عمر حدثنا مالك يعني ابن أنس عن قطن بن وهب
أن مولاة لابن عمر أتته فقالت عليك السلام يا أبا عبد الرحمن قال وما شأنك قالت أردت الخروج إلى الريف فقال لها اقعدي فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يصبر على لأوائها وشدتها أحد إلا كنت له شهيدا أو شفيعا يوم القيامة
