I was a man who experienced frequent prostatic discharge, but I felt too embarrassed to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it because of his daughter's position as my wife. So I asked Miqdad to inquire on my behalf, and he asked him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "He should wash his private part and perform ablution."
حدثنا عبد الله حدثني محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأعمش عن المنذر عن محمد بن علي
كنت رجلا مذاء فكنت أستحي أن أسأل رسول الله ﷺ لمكان ابنته فأمرت المقداد فسأله فقال يغسل ذكره ويتوضأ
Its isnad is sahih. Munzir is Ibn Yaala Thawri, the Kufan, and he is trustworthy. This is a well known hadith, narrated by the authors of the six books. The hadith will come again through the narration of Imam Ahmad, 618, 1010, 1182. See Dhakhair al-Mawarith 5302.
