Ubaydullah bin Adi reported,

Uthman said to him that the Prophet ﷺ had told him, "Allah sent Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, with the truth. I was among those who responded to Allah and His Messenger and believed in what Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent with. Then I made the two migrations, attained the honor of marrying into the family of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. By Allah, I never disobeyed him nor deceived him until Allah took him."

حدثنا بشر بن شعيب بن أبي حمزة حدثني أبي عن الزهري حدثني عروة بن الزبير أن

عبيد الله بن عدي بن الخيار أخبره

أن عثمان رضي الله عنه قال له إن النبي ﷺ قال له إن الله قد بعث محمدا عليه الصلاة والسلام بالحق فكنت ممن استجاب لله ولرسوله وآمن بما بعث به محمدا عليه الصلاة والسلام ثم هاجرت الهجرتين ونلت صهر رسول الله ﷺ وبايعت رسول الله ﷺ فوالله ما عصيته ولا غششته حتى توفاه الله عز وجل
