When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from Uhud, he heard the women of the Ansar weeping over their husbands. He said, "But Hamza has no women to weep for him."Word of this reached the women of the Ansar, so they came and wept for Hamza. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ awoke during the night and heard them still weeping. He said, "Woe to them, are they still weeping all this time? Tell them to return home, and let no one weep over a deceased person after this day."
حدثنا صفوان بن عيسى أخبرنا أسامة بن زيد عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ لما رجع من أحد سمع نساء الأنصار يبكين على أزواجهن فقال لكن حمزة لا بواكي له فبلغ ذلك نساء الأنصار فجئن يبكين على حمزة قال فانتبه رسول الله ﷺ من الليل فسمعهن وهن يبكين فقال ويحهن لم يزلن يبكين بعد منذ الليلة مروهن فليرجعن ولا يبكين على هالك بعد اليوم
