The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Aslam, may Allah keep them safe. Ghifar, may Allah forgive them. And Usayyah, they have disobeyed Allah and His Messenger."
حدثنا يحيى عن سفيان حدثني ابن دينار سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ أسلم سالمها الله وغفار غفر الله لها وعصية عصت الله ورسوله
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it in 6:396 through Salih, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar. Muslim related it in 2:267 through Ismail bin Jafar, from Abdullah bin Dinar, and through other routes from Nafi, and from Abu Salama, all of them from Ibn Umar.Aslam, Ghifar, and Usayya are tribes. Aslam is Ibn Aqsa bin Haritha bin Amr bin Amir, from Khuza, as stated in Bukhari 6:392. And in Jamharat Ansab by Ibn Hazm, page 228, it states that he is Aslam bin Aqsa bin Amir bin Qumaa bin Ilyas bin Mudar.Ghifar, with a kasra on the dotted ghayn and a light fa, is Ibn Mulayl, in the diminutive form, bin Damra bin Bakr bin Abd Manah bin Kinana, as stated in Fath al-Bari 6:395 and Jamharat Ansab 175.Usayya, with a damma on the ayn, a fatha on the sad, and a doubled ya, is Ibn Khifaf bin Imru al-Qays bin Buhtha bin Sulaym. He ﷺ said that only because they had made a pact and then broke it, as stated in Fath al-Bari 6:396. He also said, "This hadith contains the use of paronomasia of derivation, which indicates that it was heard directly, due to its ease and harmony, and this is one of those subtle coincidences."
