The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Jews offer a greeting, what they actually say is, 'Death be upon you,' so respond, 'Upon you.'"
حدثنا يحيى عن مالك عن عبد الله بن دينار عن ابن عمر عن النبي ﷺ نحوه مثله
Its chain of transmission is sahih, and it is a repetition of what came before it.
