The people of the pre-Islamic era used to sell the meat of a slaughter-camel for the price of "the offspring of an offspring." This meant that a she-camel would give birth to what was in her womb, and then the newborn female would in turn become pregnant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade them from this practice.

كان أهل الجاهلية يبيعون لحم الجزور بحبل حبلة وحبل حبلة تنتج الناقة ما في بطنها ثم تحمل التي تنتجه فنهاهم رسول الله ﷺ عن ذلك
