People used to buy food in bulk by estimation at the market, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade them from reselling it until they had transported it from the place of purchase.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد حدثني عبيد الله أخبرني نافع
كانوا يتبايعون الطعام جزافا على السوق فنهاهم رسول الله ﷺ أن يبيعوه حتى ينقلوه
