The Prophet ﷺ said, "Bilal calls the adhan at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum calls the adhan."
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري
عن النبي ﷺ إن بلالا يؤذن بليل فكلوا واشربوا حتى يؤذن ابن أم مكتوم
Its isnad is sahih. Malik related it in Muwatta 1:95-96 from Zuhri, and he also related it from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn Umar. Tirmidhi related it in 1:179 through the route of Layth, from Zuhri. His commentator said, "The two Shaykhs [Bukhari and Muslim] also included it." Something similar in meaning has already passed from the hadith of Ibn Masud, 3654, 3717, 4147.
