Abdullah bin Umar reported,

A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "What clothing should a person in ihram wear?" Sufyan once said it as, "What clothing should a person in ihram avoid?"He replied, "He should not wear a shirt, a hooded cloak, trousers, a turban, or any garment touched by wars or saffron. Nor should he wear leather socks, except for one who cannot find sandals. Whoever cannot find sandals may wear leather socks, but he must cut them so they fall below the ankles."

حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري

عن سالم عن أبيه قال

سأل رجل رسول الله ﷺ ما يلبس المحرم من الثياب وقال سفيان مرة ما يترك المحرم من الثياب فقال لا يلبس القميص ولا البرنس ولا السراويل ولا العمامة ولا ثوبا مسه الورس ولا الزعفران ولا الخفين إلا لمن لا يجد نعلين فمن لم يجد النعلين فليلبس الخفين وليقطعهما حتى يكونا أسفل من الكعبين
