The lizard was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, but he neither ate it nor declared it forbidden.
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا أيوب عن نافع
قد أتي به النبي ﷺ يعني الضب فلم يأكله ولم يحرمه
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari and Muslim and others narrated it with the same meaning, similar to what will come at 4562, and see al-Muntaqa 4582, 4583, and see what preceded in the Musnad of Ibn Abbas at 2684, 3219, 3246.
