Abdullah used to deliver his admonitions every Thursday or Monday. We said to him, or it was said to him, "Abu Abdul-Rahman, we love your discourse and long for it. We wish you would remind us every day."Abdullah replied, "Nothing prevents me from doing so except that I dislike to weary you. I space out my admonitions just as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to space them out for us."

كان عبد الله يذكر كل خميس أو اثنين الأيام قال فقلنا أو فقيل يا أبا عبد الرحمن إنا لنحب حديثك ونشتهيه ووددنا أنك تذكرنا كل يوم فقال عبد الله إنه لا يمنعني من ذاك إلا أني أكره أن أملكم وإني لأتخولكم بالموعظة كما كان رسول الله ﷺ يتخولنا
