Its chain of transmission is daif, due to the weakness of Hijri. Abu Ubayda Haddad is Abdul-Wahid bin Wasil Sadusi, who is thiqah and one of the teachers of Ahmad. Ahmad said, as will come in 7504, "A Kufan and thiqah," and Ibn Main said, "He was among those firmly established, I do not know of any error ever being found in him."The hadith is found in Majma al-Zawaid 10:252, where it is stated, "Ahmad and Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir and Al-Awsat, and in their chains is Ibrahim bin Muslim Hijri, who is daif." Suyuti mentioned it in Jami Saghir 7939, attributing it to Ahmad and marking it with the symbol for hasan, but Munawi followed up on this and graded it daif because of Hijri."Aal" comes from "aylah," which means poverty. That is, one who spends with moderation does not become poor, for he neither withholds stingily nor spends wastefully.
