I will narrate to you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Were it not for a verse in the Book of Allah, I would not have narrated it to you. I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then enters and prays, will be forgiven for whatever occurs between that prayer and the next, until he prays it."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن هشام بن عروة أخبرني أبي أن حمران أخبره قال توضأ
لأحدثنكم حديثا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ لولا آية في كتاب الله ما حدثتكموه سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول من توضأ فأحسن الوضوء ثم دخل فصلى غفر له ما بينه وبين الصلاة الأخرى حتى يصليها
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Humran is Ibn Aban, the freed slave of Uthman bin Affan. Al-Balat, with the ba pronounced with a fatha, is a place in Madinah paved with stones, located between the masjid of the Messenger of Allah and the market of Madinah.
